Bin Series
In 1843, Dr. Lindeman, an upstanding man of formidable character, started his own winery. In doing so, he set his sights on civilising a colony of hard-drinking ruffians by introducing them to more gentlemanly pursuits, such as the enjoyment of a refined drop.

PENFOLDS
During the 1940s and 1950s, Penfolds changed its focus and commenced the production of table wines to accommodate changing tastes. This new direction led to experiments by Penfolds’ chief winemaker, Max Schubert, who visited Europe following the end of World War II to learn about sherry production; however, it was the time spent by Schubert in Bordeaux that eventually led to the production of Penfolds’ and Australia’s most famous wine, “Grange Hermitage”, later renamed “Grange”. In the 1960s the company introduced a series of red wines: Bin 389, Bin 707, Bin 28 and Bin 128, that became the highlights of the Penfolds brand.
Bin Series
Treasury Wine tried to capitalize on strong demand of Penfold in China by bundling it with Wolf Blass and Rawson’s Retreat. China accounts for half of Treasury’s sales in Asia and 80 per cent of its growth in the region, according to a report in 2018. There was a massive supply glut with some distributors in China were said to be sitting on up to three years’ worth of stock and deep discounting among wholesalers and retailers. Despite higher taxes and cost of transportation, Rawson’s Retreat was selling for less in China than in Australia, some distributors were even giving it away for free when bundled with premium wine.

Two Islands produces modern Australian wines from our island winery in Sanur, Bali. Founded by Ida Bagus Rai Budarsa – the man behind sister brand, Hatten Wines – Two Islands began production in 2007 with just four wines. The goal was to offer a consistent supply of import-quality products at better value than the heavily-taxed imported alternatives. Today, Barossa-born winemaker James Kalleske oversees the production of nine authentic and thoughtfully made wines, sourcing fruit from single vineyards across South Australia’s most iconic wine regions

BODEGA CASTANO
In 1994 the 404 acre property in Loudoun County, Virginia, known as “Grand Oak Farm” was purchased by E. Paul Breaux, Jr., President and CEO of Sun Realty of Nags Head, Inc. At the time of purchase there were 0.6 acres of Cabernet Sauvignon vines that had been planted in 1985 by David Collins, an independent vineyard consultant and winemaker for Willowcroft Farm Vineyards in Leesburg, Virginia. 2 years later the Breaux family started expanding the vineyard with the assistance of Collins, who would later be hired by Breaux Vineyards to be the head winemaker and vineyard manager. Breaux Vineyards, Ltd. was incorporated in 1997, and the vineyard was expanded from less than 1 acre of cultivated vines in 1996 to 105 acres in 2011. In 2005 E. Paul Breaux, Jr. turned over day-to-day operations to his daughter Jennifer Breaux Blosser and her husband Christopher Blosser, although Breaux maintained the title of CEO for Breaux Vineyards. In the spring of 2011 David Collins left the company to co-found his own project in Rohrersville, Maryland, called “Big Cork Vineyards”. He was replaced at Breaux Vineyards by David Pagan Castaño, of Spain.
